Neufchâtel
Born in the Pays de Bray, Neufchâtel is one of the oldest Normandy cheeses, mentioned as early as the 11th century. Legend has it that during the Hundred Years’ War, young women gave it in the shape of a heart to the English soldiers they loved. The heart shape has remained its signature.
